We are looking for an innovative and talented Automation Engineer to join our Automation team. An individual capable to contribute to the team in application design & development involving system designs, PLC & HMI programming and etc. Improvement of existing application will also serve our customers and in-house end users well. Thus, he/she must be able to objectively analyse application performance and effectively implement necessary changes for improvement.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

PLC & HMI system design and develop applications that effectively accomplish objectives and needs

Analyse and edit existing PLC applications to improve functionality

Test & simulate PLC applications extensively to ensure they are error and bug free

Liaise with customer/end-users to identify technical requirements and develop solutions

Create and present application prototypes that align with requirements

Problem solving and troubleshooting skill

Identify and evaluate technology solution to fulfil system requirements

Determine project constraints including estimated time and costs

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration on machines & equipment

Other duties/activities as assigned by management

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Electronics/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering

At least 2 years’ work experience in PLC programming & HMI System Design

Experience in Siemens Hardware & Software a must

Knowledge in other PLC/HMI will be an advantage

Knowledge in Robotics/Servo Control/PID Control will be an advantage

Experience in AutoCAD/EPLAN will be advantage, ability to understand electrical schematic and possess troubleshooting skill

Knowledge in some software programming languages and experience in Microsoft SQL Server will be an advantage (e.g.: Java, C#, C++, etc.)
