About the role
As part of the Valaston audit team, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting high-quality audit engagements from start to finish. Reporting to the Audit Manager/Audit Director your responsibilities will include the following:
Key responsibilities
Assisting in audit preparation through research, documentation, and meeting coordination
Applying audit standards, policies and regulations to provide timely audit assurance outputs
Preparing and maintaining audit workpapers to support audit reports
Conducting process walkthroughs, documenting narratives, and testing key controls
Participating in client calls and gaining direct client exposure
Following audit procedures in line with professional and regulatory standards
Demonstrating strong analytical skills in resolving technical issues and applying lessons learned from previous audits
Actively participating in client calls, audit engagements and maintaining long term client relationships
Actively engaging in training programmes/initiatives as directed by your manager/director
Requirements
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
Pursuing or completed professional qualification (e.g., CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA)
Associate: 0–2 years of audit experience; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply
Senior Associate: More than 2 – 4 years of relevant audit experience
Familiarity with Singapore auditing standards (SFRS)
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Preferred Skills
Experience with SMEs, financial services, or fund audits
Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare) and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
