Job description for Associate Engineer, Test Process at Silicon Box
About the role
The Associate Engineer, Test Process reports to the Test Manager and is responsible for setting up the test readiness on the shop floor. Other responsibilities include supporting test hardware maintenance and setup for engineering activities and production ramp-up, performing required test correlation, FA/REL verification testing, and test characterization on new product offloads.
Key responsibilities
Assist engineers in carrying out all test-related activities, low yield lot verification, disposition and reporting
Support and implement various product configuration setups in MES and Test Application Systems
Test, analyze, and troubleshoot device failures, collaborating closely with process and equipment engineers to improve yield
Repair and debug failures of the test hardware (FT loadboard, EWS probecard) and hardware spares inventory tracking
Update the HW lifespan tracking records, PM the probe heads and probe pins replacement
Provide training on work instructions to new hires and peers
Support the Test NPI process and production runs, LOH disposition and REL manual testing activity
About you
Minimum diploma in electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent
At least 1-3 years of experience in a testing and debugging environment
Familiar with the ATE platform and the test handler and prober basic operation
Skillful in handling the probe pins replacement and measurement
Good understanding of the testing methods and concepts
Knowledge of programming/scripting is a plus (C language, Perl or Python)
Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills
Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with lots of ambiguity
Able to perform 12 hours rotating shift work/duty
