Job description for Assistant Operations Manager at Orient Natural Resources

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support our bulk aggregates operations. The role covers vessel and barge discharging, warehousing, and distribution of bulk construction materials (granite and sand) to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

Plan and manage resource deployment (manpower and equipment) for vessel and barge discharging to ensure safe and smooth operations.

Coordinate and sequence work activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Ensure all safety procedures, permits, and operational paperwork are completed and submitted on time.

Respond to operational issues and emergencies on a 24/7 basis when required.

Prepare and submit operational reports as necessary.

Warehousing & Material Distribution

Manage stock levels of materials in warehouses and ensure timely ordering to avoid shortages.

Plan stockpiling sequences for efficient material handling and storage.

Oversee the distribution of materials to customer sites, ensuring all daily delivery orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Maintain a safe working environment across all warehouse activities.

Submit daily reports on material movements and stock status.

Qualifications:

(Preferred) Degree in Logistics Management, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or related fields. Business degree holders with relevant experience may also be considered.

Proven experience in logistics, site coordination, construction, port operations or heavy machinery/marine environments is preferred.

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Strong, clear communication and leadership skills to manage port operations and warehousing functions effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.

Own transportation or valid Class 3 driver's license (company vehicle provided).
