Job description for Assistant Manager, Events & Programming at Sentosa Development Corporation & Subsidiaries
Overall Job Purpose:
The role is to conceptualise, drive and execute the planning of Sentosa own events and always programming, with the objectives to drive footfall, build brand love and driving businesses to our island partners. You will have a team to ensure quality and timely delivery, aligned to the event strategy.
The scope also encompasses stakeholders (vendors, island partners etc) management, purposely budgeting and working closely with teams within Sentosa Development Corporation.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Concept Development for Sentosa Own events and programming, aims to promote Sentosa as a choice destination. The role needs to articulate the strategic intent and growth potential of each concept, the desired outcomes and alignment to the event strategy.
Event Leadership & Delivery to drive end-to end process to bring to life the event/programming concepts, ensuring quality and smooth delivery aligned to our brand values and strategic goals.
Procurement & Financial Management – To ensure compliance to government process and oversee full procurement lifecycle—including tender preparation, qualification, evaluation, and award, as well to ensure budgets are planned and spent purposefully with robust control measures for financial compliance.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Manage vendor contracts and performance, collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) and external stakeholders (government agencies, island partners, sponsors) to achieve shared objectives. The role will also require to coordinate licensing, permits, insurance, and agreements with authorities.
Reporting & Performance Measurement
Track KPIs such as attendance, satisfaction, financial performance, and ROI; produce post-event analysis with improvement recommendations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Events Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
Minimum 5 years' experience in events industry, with proven track record managing large-scale events (island-wide festivals, MICE, public events)
Exhibits creative ability to conceptualise innovative events and good financial acumen with strong budgeting, forecasting and reporting capabilities with proven track records.
Excellence in stakeholder management, including strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills, and meticulous to manage multiple concurrent projects/events.
Valid Singapore Class 3 Driver's License (manual) for site visits and logistics coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with budgeting/procurement systems; knowledge of ticketing/event management platforms is advantageous
