About the role

Acma Engineers Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Jurong West, West Region. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to our electrical and engineering operations, contributing to the maintenance and optimisation of our electrical and engineering systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers and manager to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and reliably, playing a key part in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

Assist senior engineers in the planning, execution and monitoring of maintenance activities on equipment and systems

Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment to identify potential issues before they become critical problems

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks following established procedures and safety protocols

Document maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance data accurately and maintain detailed records

Support the troubleshooting and resolution of equipment failures and technical issues

Assist in the installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment and systems

Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and implement efficiency improvements

Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices at all times

Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders as required

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related electrical and engineering discipline

Sound understanding of maintenance principles, mechanical systems, electrical systems and hydraulics

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals

Proficiency in using basic tools, diagnostic equipment and testing instruments

Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

A proactive approach to safety and adherence to health and safety standards

Preferably, previous experience in a maintenance or engineering support role

Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques is advantageous

Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and technologies

Must possess a class 3 driving license
