Job Summary
The Assistant Engineer (Quality), leads daily quality control operations, ensuring precision, compliance and efficiency across production processes. Responsibilities include developing and refining inspection methods, programming and optimizing CMM and vision systems, defining acceptance criteria and verifying First Articles and production parts. The role also supports measurement traceability, automation workflows and documentation to maintain full AS9100 compliance, while preparing customer quality reports and assisting in both internal and external audits. In addition to these leadership and technical duties, the role involves hands-on operation and calibration of measuring equipment during daily quality activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.

7. Customer Quality Compliance Support (Includes QMS)
Required Competencies:
Proficient in GD&T, mechanical drawings and metrology tools
Skilled in CMM and/or vision scope programming and troubleshooting
Knowledge of AS9100/ ISO 9001 and quality documentation formats will be advantages
Strong organizational and file management skills for traceability
Able to train and guide inspectors while ensuring documentation integrity
Confident in preparing basic quality reports for customer-facing use
Qualifications:
Nitec in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering or equivalent
Candidate without formal academic qualifications, may be considered if they have relevant or past similar work experience
3 years of experience in inspection or quality control in precision machining environment
Experience with inspection automation systems and measurement programming tools
Capable of independent judgment in final inspection and verification tasks
