Job Summary
Provide effective financial planning, performance management, and business insights across Asia for Electronics, Automotive, Distribution and Logistics, and Medical businesses.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and mid-term financial planning for all Asia entities to support business growth
- Consolidate financial performance data from countries and business units into comprehensive quarterly Asia reports
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, recommending corrective actions to meet financial targets
- Conduct variance analysis comparing budget, forecast, and prior year results to identify financial trends and risks
- Collaborate with local finance teams to analyze Cost of Goods Sold and operating expenses for improved cost control
- Drive productivity improvements and margin enhancement initiatives to optimize profitability
- Review profitability by product, customer, and business unit to inform strategic decisions
- Partner with Business Heads in Asia to provide financial evaluations for pricing, new programs, investments, automation, and restructuring initiatives
- Support scenario analysis and risk assessments to guide strategic and operational decision-making
- Standardize Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes across Asia to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Align local finance teams with regional management to maintain cohesive financial strategies and reporting
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Experience in multinational or regional organizations with exposure to Asia markets
- Proven track record in financial planning and business performance management
- Experience working with high-performing cross-country teams
- Strong ability to align support functions with business strategy and operational priorities
- Effective communication skills with multicultural stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within Asia as required
