Job Overview:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including GST, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
