Job description for VP of Engineering at Breathe

Our client an exciting start up with extraordinary product and services. They have one of the most exciting saving point system in their awards programs for their users which your loved ones would enjoy. Their engineering team is quick in bringing about rapid and effective changes with the most cutting edge technology. They are looking for a VP of engineering to create and impact with their team.
In this role you will:
- To be able to lead the core product engineering teams, able to oversee/look into the evolution of existing products and from-scratch build of new SaaS applications
- Creating a engaging and supportive environment for your teams
- Driving the engineering team to excellence through hands-on support/coaching and skill development
- Able to collaborate easily and closely with Heads of Engineering and Product Managers to set up the company’s technical vision and directions
What We Are Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in hands-on software development, of which 5 years in the leadership and managing other developers
- Experience in managing at least 20+ engineers in a large organisation
- Able to deliver large projects to client timelines
- Possess strong hands-on technical skillsets and depth to work hand-in-hand with other engineers and product leaders to create technical roadmap and vision.
- Possess strong technical knowledge across domains such as software architecture and patterns, frontend architecture, security and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong people management and leadership skills related to coaching and supporting employee engagement
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work across multiple engineering teams and domains to able to drive across complex technical decision making and outcomes.
- Good command of English level is required
