Job description for Video Editor at Sproud Private Limited
(This role is NOT remote and the candidate must be based in Singapore and report to our local office)
As a film/video editor, you'll manage material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects to produce a final film or video product. This is a key role in the post-production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the finished result. You will be working closely with the post production head and director to achieve the desired end result. An editor should also possess creative and problem-solving qualities to bring together the best project with the resources they have.
- Receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay
- Look at and organise raw footage or shots into archives for easy retrieval
- Assembling visual/audio material to create compelling and visually interesting materials.
- Responsible for post-production tasks including creating offline rough cuts, audio mastering, online finishing, colour correction, and motion graphics.
- Digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what's usable
- Work closely with the post production team to discuss and review video at hand
- Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
- Be able to maximise your time management skills and work effectively within deadlines to develop productions on time Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in media related studies.
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro proficiently, other software proficiencies include Adobe After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Creativity and a passionate interest in film and video editing
- A keen eye for detail and a critical mind
- The ability contribute your creative input but also listen to others and to work well as part of a team
- Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
- Patience and concentration. Duration: Part time contract, 3 months, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 6:30pm.
