Job description for Travel Specialist (6 months contract) at Telenor

Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. We have enabled Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are excited and capable to work in the fast-paced Telecom field.
Team profile
· Opportunity to be part of a team that manages a large and diverse portfolio of procurement sub-categories, including Airlines, Car Leasing, Hotels, Travel Agency etc.
· Contributing to the overall Telenor Procurement Company goal of sourcing and delivering quality products & services, in a cost effective and timely manner, leveraging on the spend of the Telenor Business Units, to drive savings
· Working alongside talents from 17 different countries and liaising with 9 offices globally
Main Tasks:
· Participate as a resource in the sourcing and category management activities of the Travel Category team
· Support the Sourcing Category Management Lifecycle by working with relevant data analysis and reporting
· Provide insights on new and efficient ways to improve the current business processes
· Work closely with Category Teams for all Contract Management activities
· Assists Category Director in running RFQ for Hotels and Travel Management Company (TMC)
Qualifications and Requirements
· Diploma in Tourism or Business from local polytechnic
· Keenly interested in the sourcing/procurement process in the Telecommunication industry
· Analytical and have problem-solving capabilities
· Good at teamwork, communication skills and have a great sense of humour
· Looking for self-development opportunities
· Have high standards of integrity and work ethic
· Willing to bring fresh ideas and contribute to improvements in the way of work
· Fresh polytechnic graduates are welcome to apply
· Must be able to commit the full 6 months contract period
