About the Role
This IT Support Engineer (Service Desk), focused on Service Desk typically plays a crucial role in managing and supporting an organization's IT services.
The responsibilities of this role include:
· 24/7 Remote IT support for English speaking Australian based clients
- Build, maintain, and update site configuration details and documentation
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Participate in the design, planning, implementation, and post project support
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Remote support, monitoring, maintenance tasks
- Building & maintaining customer relationships
- You will work autonomously within the role but able to liaise effectively with various parts of the business/vendors as necessary.
- This role requires you to work from the office
About You
- Fluent business grade English both spoken and written
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in Technical Expertise, Troubleshooting skills, Experience with Ticketing Systems, Networking Knowledge, Customer Service, Time Management, Team Collaboration, Relevant Certification.
- The ideal candidate will pose natural talent for client relationships and excellent communication skills, and passionate with constantly delivering "Amazing Customer Experience"
- Able to accomplish a task with attention to details and professional attitude
- Continuously skill and technical improvement by obtaining trainings and certifications
- Willing to work in shift, including night shift
Relevant desirable skills and experience:
- IT Support (level 1 and level 2)
- Microsoft Operating System (Desktop/Server) and other OS (MacOS, UNIX/Linux)
- Basic Hardware troubleshooting (desktop, network devices, printers)
- Cloud Services: MS O365, MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Sharepoint
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, IIS, TCP/IP, SCCM
- Virtualisation technology such as Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix, Remote Desktop
- LAN / WAN experience with routers, wireless access points, firewalls
- Backup and DR solutions: MS Windows Server Backup, Symantec Backup Exec, Veeam, Datto, Unitrends, Spanning, Backupify
- Qualification: Any technology vendor certifications will be highly regarded especially around Microsoft, Sophos, and AWS technology stack
