Job description for Senior Data Scientist:
Ideate and develop data products (as opposed to research and development) by turning healthcare data into actionable insights.
Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies and devise possible solutions from data analytics as needed for specific projects.
Collaborate with third parties (including medical advisor, researchers and business users) to research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis.
Continuously improve models by adding new features, debugging and retraining with different architectures and methodologies.
Deploy, operationalize and maintain predictive / analytic models on a data platform.
Take ownership and lead development role on the current end-to-end technology stack (back-end) and scale to enterprise level.
Communicate results and sell product ideas to internal / external clients and key decision makers.
Collaborate with data engineers and oversee the project progress.
Accumulate and introduce best practices, new models, technologies, dataset to the knowledge base.
Must-have requirements for Senior Data Scientist:
Min. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related fields.
5+ years of practical experience in data science related tasks, including statistical modeling, product ideation, data processing and data analytics. Proficiency and hands-on experience in machine learning, including data mining, statistical analysis,
pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
Extensive experience in software development cycles and excellent programming skill with scripting
languages eg. Python, R, Scala, Java.
Familiar with state-of-the-art microservice and/or big data technologies, eg. Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, MongoDB, lambda architecture.
Familiar with both cloud on on-prem environments.
