Job description for Software Engineer Intern at Marketnode
Marketnode is a digital market infrastructure (DMI) operator backed by Euroclear, HSBC, SGX Group and Temasek. We believe in the power of programmable assets and that traditional financial instruments will be originated, transacted and served better leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain. Our approach to building market infrastructure is one of partnership with the industry and in 2024 have successfully launched our first market-wide platform for funds, with credit and structured products to follow 2025 onwards.
At Marketnode
Our DMI suite covers the following:
- AI-powered structured data and extraction tools
- Fundnode, a funds transaction management and settlement platform
- Digital Assets: multi-asset tokenisation, record keeping and asset servicing
Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions such as HSBC and Euroclear, Marketnode is now well positioned for it’s next growth phase.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern who’s excited to build real products and learn fast. You’ll work closely with our engineers to build and support AI-powered products using React.js and Python.
What you’ll do
- Build and improve frontend features using React.js
- Support backend services and APIs that power our AI products using Python
- Work with the team to ship features end-to-end
- Help test, debug, and improve product performance
- Write clean, readable code and learn best practices along the way
What we’re looking for
- Some experience with React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Familiar with Git (or willing to learn quickly)
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable learning new things
- Interest in AI, data, or building intelligent products is a big plus
Nice to have
- Personal, school, or side projects
- Exposure to Flask / FastAPI, REST APIs, or basic ML concepts
- Passion for startups, product building, or AI technology
