Job description for Social Media Specialist (Intern) at Hijack Sandals

Qualifications :

- Active university student or fresh graduate in Marketing, Communication, Media, or related fields

- Strong interest in social media, fashion, footwear, and lifestyle brands

- Familiar with Instagram and TikTok as a user and content consumer

- Basic understanding of social media content formats (feed, reels, stories, short videos)

- Comfortable creating simple visual or video content using tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar

- Able to write clear and engaging captions.

- Willing to learn about content planning, engagement, and analytics

- Detail-oriented, responsive, and able to follow brand guidelines

- Proactive, communicative, and open to feedback

What You’ll Do :

- Assist in managing daily Instagram and TikTok activities

- Support content execution: posting, scheduling, and basic editing

- Help adapt trends into content ideas aligned with Hijack Sandals’ brand

- Assist in monitoring comments and DMs under team supervision

- Support content planning and campaign execution

- Help collect basic performance data for reporting

- Support content execution: creating organic content, posting, scheduling, and basic editing

- Comfortable in front of camera as content talent

Meanwhile, it seems like nobody had given a proper attempt to make sandals ‘cool’, despite how ubiquitous and indispensable they are in our daily life. This lack of spotlight on the culturally significant footwear led us to start our endeavor. Instead of following the trend, we went against the current and began crafting sandals. Our journey started because we believe in sustaining the culture.
