Production Site Reliability Engineer
Your Day to Day:
You will be responsible for the daily operations of the company cloud, their market-leading SaaS offering, across leading cloud providers and platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, etc.
- Deliver a superior customer experience
- Ensuring that the company Cloud Services are healthy, reliable and that SLA’s are being met
- Improving our infrastructure tooling, observability and automation
- Resolving incidents
- Handling service requests and provisioning by the customers
- Support partners and regional teams as part of a global team
- Be on call rotation and provide 24x7 off-hours support
- Contribute to making production environment more efficient.
- Actively involved in development for scalable deployment (automation, tooling, etc.)
- Be familiar with security or security conscious
Ideally You Will Be:
- Highly technical, be excited by technology and be eager to stay up to date in a rapidly evolving environment
- A strong communicator who can articulate complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner & get on the phone call with the customers
- Have a demonstrated ability to debug at a system level and resolve incidents of complex cloud-based environments
- Experienced in SaaS operations, technical support or enterprise IT department
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Azure, GCP, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with micro-service deployment
- Hands-on experience with Monitoring tools like Datadog, Kibana, Prometheus etc.
- Experience with Cloud Networking and Security
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL/Elasticsearch)
- Operating Systems experience with Linux
- Programmer in languages such as Groovy, Python, go, etc.
- Familiar with Ansible, Terraform, or chef
Desired skills
- Experience with operating and administering Messaging Software
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering
- Experience with Customer Success/On boarding
- Having a Public Cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) certificate is an asset
