Senior Civil Engineer

PT. MITRA KARYA SARANA (MKS) is a growing company specializing in Steel Fabrication, Manufacturing, and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC). We are seeking dedicated, highly motivated, and qualified professionals to join our team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering - preferably specialization in Building Engineering (Building Construction/ Structural Engineering).
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering and construction projects, preferably within EPC Project, industrial, commercial, or Manufacturing facilities.
3. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other engineering software. Experience with ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, or equivalent software is an advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, building construction methods, foundation systems, and finishing works.
5. Good understanding of engineering standards, construction regulations, quality control, and safety requirements.
6. Able to review and interpret engineering drawings, structural calculations, technical specifications, BOQ, and construction documents.
7. Strong analytical skills & able to prepare quantity take-off (QTO), cost estimation, budget analysis, and technical evaluations for tender and construction projects.
8. Proven ability to lead technical coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
10. Demonstrates integrity, accountability, a proactive mindset, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality project outcomes.
11. Candidates currently residing in Batam-Riau Islands, are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Sales Engineer to deliver technical presentations, explain engineering and construction solutions, and provide technical support to prospective clients throughout the sales and tender process.
2. Lead and oversee engineering activities for building construction projects from planning through project completion.
3. Review and approve engineering drawings, structural calculations, shop drawings, material specifications, and construction methodologies.
4. Provide technical leadership and engineering solutions to ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
5. Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure effective project execution.
6. Conduct site inspections, monitor construction progress, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance from beginning until finish project.
7. Identify technical risks and provide effective engineering solutions to optimize constructability, project quality, cost efficiency, and project timelines.
8. Support project planning, budgeting, value engineering, and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Prepare and review engineering reports, technical documentation, and project progress reports.
