The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the industrial sector. Job Description:
- Handle and support all sales activities
- Identify potential customers and develop relationships with them
- Receive and review customer inquiries to understand customer’s technical needs and requirements
- Coordinate internally to assess feasibility and provide customer with solutions that meet their needs
- Monitor inquiry status including quotation progress, pending items and completion
- Prepare cost calculations and submit quotations to customers
- Conduct proactive follow-up on quotations to customer
- Keep abreast of new products and technologies, and effectively communicate their benefits to potential customers
- Communicate the features and benefits of your company’s products or services to potential customers
- Manage sales administration tasks including data entry and record keeping
- Coordinate with internal departments, especially technical and logistics staff, for shipment arrangements
- Troubleshoot technical problems that may arise during the sales process
- Monitor delivery schedule and ensure timely shipment to customers
- Maintain effective communication with customers regarding inquiries, orders and delivery status
Job Qualifications:
- Education Bachelor Degree (S1) in Engineering would be advantage
- Proven experience in technical sales or engineering
- Strong understanding of product capabilities, ability to read technical specifications, and knowledge of industry-specific product and services
- Excellent communication to translate complex jargon into clear, compelling, and customer-friendly benefits
- Ability to persuade, contract maneuvering, and the confidence to guide a client through the purchasing journey
- Analytical thinking to identify customer pain points and a consultative approach to foster long-term trust (customer oriented)
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings
- Proficient in sales presentation: verbal storytelling, technical product knowledge and sales software (CRM)
