1. Job description of Retail Assistant
· Job title: Retail Assistant
Department: Retail and Sales
· Job purpose: To assist customers with product enquiries and purchasing of merchandise
Report to: Franchise Manager
· Industry Focus: Commercial based - Education and Lifestyle
· Working Hours: 5 days work week but require to work one weekend (1100am - 700pm)
· Allowance Range: $800 - $900
II. Duties and Responsibilities
· Greets and interacts with customers
· Consults with customers to understand their needs
· Demonstrates and explain merchandise and products, selecting and suggesting options for the customers
· Answer customers' questions and assist with purchases
· Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room or other inventory locations; places special orders
· Collects payment using the POS system
· Processes returns and exchanges upon Mgmt approval
· Perform other duties as assigned

· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Excellent active listening skills
· Excellent sales and customer service skills
· Extension knowledge of merchandise sold
· Ability to anticipate customers needs
· Ability to recommend merchandise and solutions to customers
· Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores POS system
IV. Experience
· Previous retail experience preferred
· On-the-job training provided
