PT Ganesha Indonesia EPCM is an Engineering Consultant company engaged in engineering design, construction management, and project support services for industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, and infrastructure projects.
We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor MEP to join our team.
Job Description
The Quantity Surveyor MEP will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and controlling cost estimation, Bill of Quantity, and tender documents related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works in engineering consultancy projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review Bill of Quantity (BoQ) for MEP works.
Calculate material quantity take-off based on drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Prepare cost estimation for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and Utility systems.
Review tender documents, technical specifications, and scope of work.
Assist in preparing budget plans, cost comparison, and commercial evaluation.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, and Architecture teams.
Review contractor/subcontractor quotations and analyze price reasonableness.
Support tender clarification, bid evaluation, and negotiation process.
Monitor project cost and assist in variation order assessment.
Ensure all quantity and cost calculations are accurate and aligned with project requirements.
Prepare reports related to BoQ, cost estimation, and tender evaluation.
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor, Cost Estimator, or related position, preferably in engineering consultant or construction projects.
Strong understanding of MEP systems, including:
HVAC system
Plumbing system
Fire Fighting system
Electrical power system
Lighting system
ELV / low current system
Utility system
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BoQ.
Experienced in quantity take-off and cost estimation for MEP works.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity calculation tools.
Familiar with AutoCAD and/or Revit will be an advantage.
Able to work with deadlines and handle multiple project documents.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate in calculation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications
Having experience in industrial, commercial building, pharmaceutical, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Familiar with tender process, vendor quotation comparison, and technical-commercial evaluation.
Understand material specifications, unit rates, and work methods for MEP installation.
Able to prepare professional reports and cost breakdown documents.
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Willing to be placed at PT Ganesha Indonesia EPCM office/project location.
Having SKK or other professional certification related to Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimation will be an advantage.
