Location: Jakarta onsite

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to identify issues early, improve testing processes, and deliver high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

Perform Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, Smoke Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.

Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools.

Collaborate with Developers and Product Teams to analyze issues and validate bug fixes.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.

Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability.

Validate APIs, databases, and backend services.

Ensure software quality meets functional, performance, security, and usability standards.

Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment processes.

Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Continuously improve QA processes, testing strategies, and automation coverage.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 4-8 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, QA Engineer, or Software Tester.

Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology.

Experience testing Web Applications, Mobile Applications, and REST APIs.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience working with Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), E-commerce, or Enterprise Applications is a plus.

Technical Skills

Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Robot Framework

API Testing: Postman, Swagger, REST Assured

Performance Testing: JMeter, K6, LoadRunner (preferred)

Test Management: Jira, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps

Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle (SQL Query)

Programming/Scripting: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#

Version Control: Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket

CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps

Containerization (Preferred): Docker, Kubernetes
