Job description for QA Manager at Entobel
YOUR MISSION:
To establish, implement, and continuously improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with standards of the government, customers and Entobel to prevent risk, and consistent product quality, deliver sustainable value to customers.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Quality & Food Safety System Management
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality and Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP+).
- Develop, review, and update SOPs, policies, and the Food Safety Manual in alignment with operational changes.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements across all operations.
- Monitor and update legal and regulatory requirements related to food safety and hygiene.
- Obtain additional certifications as required by clients and the market.
Audit & Compliance Management
- Plan and lead internal audits and management reviews to ensure system effectiveness.
- Lead and manage external audits (certification bodies, customers, authorities).
- Ensure timely and effective closure of non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Oversee verification of PRPs, OPRPs, and CCPs.
Risk Management & HACCP Leadership
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HACCP plan.
- Act as the champion for Management of Change (MOC) related to food safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate preventive controls are in place.
CAPA & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone) for quality issues and deviations.
- Establish and monitor CAPA to prevent recurrence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimization).
- In a leadership role, or in Collaboration with functional departments such as R&D, Eng, I&M, and Production to implement quality improvement projects for the factory.
Customer & Supplier Quality Management
- Manage customer complaints, ensuring timely investigation, response, and resolution.
- Support Sales in meeting customer requirements and expanding into new markets.
- Prepare and provide documentation to complete export procedures to meet customer requirements and new markets.
- Evaluate, approve, and monitor supplier quality performance.
Data Management & Reporting
- Establish and monitor QA KPIs and quality performance metrics.
- Analyze quality data trends and provide insights for improvement.
- Report performance and system effectiveness to senior management/BOD.
- Ensure data integrity, traceability, and timely availability across departments.
People Management & Training
- Lead, develop, and manage the QA/QC team.
- Plan and implement training programs (ISO, HACCP, GMP, company policies).
- Evaluate employee performance and support talent development.
- Promote a strong quality and food safety culture across the organization.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Animal health, Aquaculture or relevant fields required, master’s degree preferred.
- More than 5-years’ experience in Quality Assurance field in Food / Feed / Aquaculture Industrial, including at least 2 years as a manager.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese
- Deep Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP+, Halal.
- Thorough understanding of the Quality policies in Animal and Aqua feed.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental regulations
