Job description for Product Development Officer at PT Sumber Kosmetika Indah
Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end product development under Brand Marketing division to processes cosmetic, personal care, home care, and fragrance products from concept ideation to product launch
- Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify new product opportunities and support product innovation
- Coordinate with internal/external departments including R&D, Regulatory, QA/QC, Production, Packaging Development, and Marketing to ensure timely project execution
- Manage product development timelines, sample tracking, product evaluations, testing results, and development documentation
- Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends for continuous product improvement
- Ensure all developed products comply with applicable regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
- Lead product launch preparation, including product knowledge materials, product claims, and internal coordination
- Source and evaluate new raw materials, fragrances, packaging, and suppliers related to product development activities
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting throughout the product development lifecycle
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, or other related fields
- Minimum 1 year experience in Product Development, Product Specialist, Business Development, preferably in cosmetics, personal care, home care, fragrance, or FMCG industry
- Strong understanding of product development processes, from concept creation, benchmarking, formulation trial, testing, until commercialization
- Familiar with beauty, personal care, home care, and fragrance market trends and consumer insights
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, documentation, coordination, and project management skills
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Regulatory, QA/QC, Production, Packaging Development, Purchasing, and Marketing
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proactive, adaptive, fast learner, and able to work in a dynamic environment
- Passionate about product innovation and market trends
