The Product Designer reports to Lead, Product Design and is responsible for the design and development of GotSurge’s products. Duties of this position include improving existing product designs and analyzing working concepts launched by competitors of similar products to match quality and performance.
Responsibilities
Product Design:
- Design new product functionality end-to-end from wireframes to prototype to high-fidelity mockups.
- Support design strategy and collaborate on a design vision that enables multiple teams to build innovative experiences while maintaining a unified and consistent tone and feel.
- Analyse how our product ties in with the market and customer needs, validate product design requirements based on briefs from internal and external partners.
- Partner with product management and engineering to design and build new features and user flows with a strong focus on speed and results.
- Partner with the marketing team to ensure our product design reflects and reinforces the company brand.
- Iterate on and refine design processes to support a growing design team in collaborating closely with others, seeking and incorporating feedback, and contributing to world class product development.
UI/ UX Design:
- Design consumer-grade enterprise products.
- Create and maintain a cohesive look across all company products - while maintaining delightful experiences.
- Present information in the interface so that it is easy to comprehend.
- Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in designing interfaces for enterprises
- Have good production skills with Adobe Creative Suite and similar tools to provide clean, organized diagrams and illustrations to help communicate ideas clearly
- Knowledge of JavaScript using JQuery, HTML5, and CSS3
- Good knowledge of the industry and market trends
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent eye for aesthetic and customer appeal
- Highly self-motivated to learn new skills and adapt flexibly and quickly
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships
