About the role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Pricing - Forwarding professional to join our dynamic team at PT. Milenial Solusi Internusa. As a key member of our Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory department, you will play a vital role in driving our procurement and pricing strategies for our forwarding operations. This full-time position is based in our offices in South Tangerang, Banten.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to secure the best possible rates and terms for our forwarding services
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to achieve competitive pricing and favourable contract terms
- Analyse market trends, industry benchmarks and competitor pricing to inform our pricing models
- Manage the procurement and inventory of forwarding-related materials, equipment and resources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our procurement operations
- Maintain detailed records and reporting on all procurement and pricing activities
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 years of experience in procurement, pricing or supply chain management, preferably in the forwarding or logistics industry
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms from suppliers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
- Proficient in data analysis and financial modelling to support pricing and procurement decision-making
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards and best practices
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
- Familiarity with Ocean freight is a plus
