Job Description
The Paralegal is responsible for supporting the firm's Advocates in handling litigation and non-litigation matters through case administration, document filing and record management, preparation of legal documents, and drafting and proofreading simple legal documents under the supervision and direction of an Advocate.
Requirements
- Officially certified Paralegal or Bachelor's degree in Law (candidates with a bachelor's degree in another field will be considered).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, including relevant internship experience.
- Able to conduct legal research and prepare research findings in a systematic manner.
- Basic understanding of legal administration and case file management.
- Ability to organize, maintain, and manage legal documents in both physical and digital formats in a systematic and well-organized manner.
- Strong proofreading and document formatting skills, with excellent attention to detail to ensure document accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to prepare draft correspondence and simple legal documents under the supervision and direction of an Advocate.
- Proficiency in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve work efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadline.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
