Job description for Operational Manager at Recovered Indonesia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily plant operations including waste sorting, processing, and recycled plastic production.
  • Ensure production targets, efficiency, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Supervise production teams including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance with technical teams.
  • Implement operational improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Manage logistics and material flow from waste collection to finished recycled products.
  • Prepare operational reports including production output, downtime, and operational costs.
  • Coordinate with finance, procurement, and management teams for operational planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in recycling, waste management, plastics, or industrial processing.
  • Strong knowledge of production management and process optimization.
  • Experience managing production teams and plant operations.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety and environmental regulations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in operational reporting and data analysis.
  • Willing to be based in Ambon/ Sorong

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plastic recycling operations or circular economy projects
  • Knowledge of waste management systems and material recovery processes.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination skills with suppliers and logistics partners.
