We are looking for a competitive retail Sales Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire. Sales Assistant duties include selling, restocking and merchandising. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.
- Create and maintain positive client relationships to build business.
- Define and implement sales strategy and technique to establish marketing goals.
- Understand client’s needs and NGshope products to meet client requirements.
- Create innovative ways to build business from individual accounts.
- Conduct extensive online research, at all times understanding marketing and sales strategies from all major e-commerce.
- Work with sales team to identify opportunities for new markets and growth.
- Coordinate with sales team to revise pricing and sales incentive plan to achieve marketing goals.
- Perform up-selling and cross-selling of products to clients.
- Conduct effective sales presentation for potential customers.
- Develop and maintain sales records of sales meetings, sales calls, new sales, closed sales, follow-up activities, etc.
- Evaluate and enhance current trade shows, conventions, and other marketing events to develop new opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing and resolving customer queries/issues in a timely manner.
- Develop best practices for online sales and customer services.
- Ensure sales team complies with company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Calculate purchase subtotals, taxes, and shipping costs for submission to customers.
- Receive and process payments from customers, using electronic transaction services.
- Create and manage product descriptions for online marketplace platforms.
- Create, manage, or automate orders or invoices, using order management or invoicing software.
- Fill customer orders by packaging sold items and documentation for direct shipping or by transferring orders to manufacturers or third-party distributors.
- Correspond with online customers via electronic mail, telephone, or other electronic messaging to address questions or complaints about products, policies, or shipping methods.
- Disclose merchant information and terms and policies of transactions in online or offline materials.
- Create or maintain database of customer accounts.
- Calculate revenue, sales, and expenses, using financial accounting or spreadsheet software.
- Investigate products or markets to determine areas for opportunity or viability for merchandising specific products, using online or offline sources.
- A successful Retail career track record, preferably gained in a E-commerce or Online Shop Stores;·
- A strong attendance, reliability and punctuality record;·
- A strong work ethic and proven track record of being proactive and using initiative within Retail;·
- A clear understanding and proven delivery of good customer service;
- A positive and flexible approach, ready and willing to turn your hand to anything to get the job done;
- Physically fit and able to unpack and process deliveries and manoeuvre stock between storage areas and the shop floor on a daily basis;
- Able to deal with customer enquiries on own initiative, responding to queries and complaints in a constructive and prompt manner;
- Able to handle confidential matters with utmost discretion;
- Able to work independently and creatively, pre-empting and problem-solving issues as needed;
- Possesses excellent communication skills; is friendly, approachable and professional when dealing with visitors and staff in person, over the phone or in writing;
- Evidences strong interpersonal and team working skills, able to communicate successfully with a wide variety of people across all levels;
- Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills, able to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively;·
