Job description for Merchandiser at Primer Kenrich Sdn. Bhd.
This position will be responsible for overall performance and development of the assigned brands.
- Formulates business objectives and sales plan for approval of the Head of Brand.
- Designs and implements a strategic marketing program that befits brand objectives and will yield to maximum sales results and brand equity.
- Monitors and evaluates the sales performance of assigned brand(s) and manages inventory level to achieve optimum sales to inventory ratio.
- Communicates, coordinates and negotiates with principals and suppliers regarding brand direction, product-related issues, ordering and brand building support among others.
- Conceptualizes brand building programs and oversees effective implementation of marketing and sales-generating activities.
- Coordinates with advertising/PR agencies for communications and advertising requirements and monitors the same.
- Formulates product or merchandise plan in coordination with the Merchandising group to ensure approved orders are placed in a timely manner
- Formulates purchase orders for the approval of the Head of Brand.
- Designs and implement a merchandise line plan for licensed brand, where applicable.
- Oversees the timely arrival and availability of products in the market in coordination with the Merchandising and Operations groups.
- Recommends SRP and pricing strategies
- Develops and continuously enhances training modules
- Conducts brand and product orientation training to sales people
- Keeps abreast with new brands and trends in the market and observes competitors regularly for pricing and new product lines.
