Role Description
This is a full-time Mechanical Drafter role based in Medan, Indonesia. The Mechanical Drafter will prepare accurate mechanical drawings and detailed engineering documentation for wastewater management, renewable energy, and air pollution control systems. Daily tasks include translating design concepts and specifications into technical and engineering drawings, updating and revising drawings based on engineer feedback, and maintaining drawing standards and documentation. The role also involves using CAD software to develop 2D and 3D models, coordinating with project engineers and other team members, and ensuring drawings comply with project requirements, safety standards, and relevant codes. The Mechanical Drafter will support design reviews, contribute to bill of materials (BOM) preparation, and assist in resolving design-related issues during fabrication and installation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical Drawings and Engineering Drawings, with the ability to produce clear and accurate layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings.
- Strong Technical Drawing skills, including dimensioning, tolerancing, and adherence to relevant drafting and engineering standards.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D and 3D mechanical drafting.
- Understanding of Design Engineering principles related to mechanical systems, preferably in wastewater, renewable energy, or air pollution control applications.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, P&IDs, and relevant technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and version control for drawings and project files.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience with industrial or environmental engineering projects is an advantage.
