Job description for Mechanical Design Engineer at PT MITRA KARYA SARANA
PT. MITRA KARYA SARANA (MKS), a leading company in Steel Fabrication, Manufacturing, and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) services, is looking for talented, dedicated, and highly motivated individuals to become part of our growing team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Domicilied at Batam
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Robotic Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Design/ Draftsman Engineer, Automation Engineer. Experience in a similar enviroment is preferred.
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or similar design tools.
- Experienced in designing mechanical products, including jigs, fixtures, and other mechanical components.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, dimensioning, tolerances, drafting standards, and Bill of Material (BoM) generation.
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and fabrication techniques.
- Fluent in English (Spoken & Written) is Must and Good Communication/ Presentation.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 documentation and quality management system requirements.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, with good communication skills to coordinate with engineering and production teams.
- Demonstrates a good attitude, proactive mindset, and results-driven work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop 2D/3D mechanical drawings, including detail, assembly, and fabrication drawings based on engineering concepts and design inputs.
- Ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Review, revise, and update drawings in accordance with design changes and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and feasible for manufacturing.
- Maintain and organize technical drawing documentation, including drawing files, drawing lists, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Support mechanical design development activities and provide technical documentation required for manufacturing and project execution.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and propose effective engineering solutions when necessary.
- Ensure all engineering documents are properly controlled and maintained in accordance with company procedures and ISO 9001 requirements.
