Job description
Velox Tech is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work as part of a growing multi-disciplinary R&D team developing innovative products.
As a Mechanical Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work directly with multiple product platform teams and engineering departments. This position requires a self-starter that is motivated and willing to work cross-functionally to learn from different departments company-wide.
General Requirements:
- Idea generation and execution, mostly unsupervised
- Hands-on aptitude, strong debugging and system analysis skills
- Desire to work in an incredibly fast-paced environment
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- Generate multiple design concepts to solve design problems while working independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate prototype orders with vendors and fabrication staff.
- Support to build activities. Hands-on involvement and desire to verify the fit and function of design intent.
- Thorough knowledge of Mechanical codes
- Personal initiative; ability to drive projects through to completion.
- A growth mindset; a desire to learn and develop.
- Self-starter who is able to satisfy their goals and timelines.
Mechanical Design Engineerrequirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical degree along with 2 years of supervisory experience is required for mechanical designers. Successful mechanical designers possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience designing industry-specific products
- 3D Solid Modeling experience
- Must be familiar with basic manufacturing techniques
- Present 3D design concepts for review.
- Enhancements and cost reduction alternatives for hardware products
- Improve quality control processes and hardware testability
- Create and manage engineering changes (ECs) to implement parts, assemblies, and bill of materials.

Velox Tech is a consultancy company for technological solutions, established in Norway in 2018 and today holds 12 employees. We opened Velox Tech in Vietnam in 2020 and we have 10 employees working in Nha Trang.
We are expanding our business to Vietnam and we are looking to hire employees to work at our office in the center of Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa.
The management are European, and all documentation and internal communication will be in English, therefore we require a high level of English understanding.
Our business consists of R&D services for large international corporations as well as smaller, local companies. We are also developing our own products that we will manufacture to be sold worldwide.
Our team in Nha Trang may support and work on projects together with our staff in Norway, and to work on projects in Vietnam or other regions.
