JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Translate content accurately from Chinese to Indonesian/English (and vice versa) while maintaining context, meaning, tone, and cultural relevance.
- Proofread, edit, and refine translated materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high linguistic quality.
- Adapt translations to fit the style and audience requirements, especially for entertainment, media, and business content.
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and other team members to meet deadlines and ensure cohesive output.
- Conduct research to ensure correct usage of industry-specific terminology.
- Maintain a glossary/translation memory to support consistent language usage across projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Language, Translation, Literature, Communication, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in Chinese–Indonesian/English translation and proofreading (experience in entertainment/media industry is an advantage).
- Strong command of Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, speaking) and proficiency in Indonesian and/or English.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt language style to different audiences and contexts.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently or in a team.
