Manager, Programme Administration & Management (Office of Teacher Education) [NIE]
The National Institute of Education (NIE) invites suitable candidates to join the Office of Teacher Education (OTE) as a Manager (Programme Administration & Management).
Key Responsibilities
The Manager will support the Associate Dean, Programme Planning and Management in:
- The planning and management of initial teacher preparation programmes in the OTE.
- The management and administration of an initial teacher preparation programme. This will encompass knowledge of the programme, time tabling and class allocation, production of academic plans, liaising with subject/course coordinators and external stakeholders on programme and student matters, and any other programme-related activities.
- Providing secretariat support for Committees and to prepare policy papers for Management Boards and key stakeholders. The candidate must be able to multitask, organise, analyse and write well.
Requirements
- A University degree.
- At least four years of relevant work experience in student support and/or programme administration, preferably in a tertiary educational institution.
- Strong in administration, meticulous and good organizational skills.
- Motivated, resourceful, able to work independently and as a team player, under pressure.
- Strong writing skills with experience in writing minutes and preparing policy papers.
- Able to work on occasional evenings and weekends, as required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, experience working in a digitalized environment.
- Experience in operations and management especially in an education institution would be an advantage.
