Job description for Legal Manager (Surabaya) at PT Equilibrium Cita Selaras
One of our clients, a well-established Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company with its head office in Surabaya and manufacturing facility in Sidoarjo, is currently seeking an experienced professional to join the team as a Legal Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Report to General Manager
• Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate and commercial matters to support day-to-day business operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, applicable laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
• Manage and support corporate actions.
• Oversee licensing, permits, and regulatory compliance relevant to FMCG business operations.
• Handle legal disputes and litigation matters, including coordinating with external legal counsel.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with business activities, commercial transactions, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver practical and business-oriented legal solutions.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the FMCG industry and provide timely advice to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and investigations as required.
Qualifications:
• Male/Female, max. 40 years old.
• A Bachelor Degree in Law from reputable university and advocate license is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Legal roles, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods industries
• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate compliance
• Solid understanding of Indonesian corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet established deadline.
• Keen on detailed and have good analytical and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and deal with people at all levels professionally.
• Should be proactive and self-motivated team leader.
• Has a good attitude, highly interpersonal skill, role-model and discipline.
• Fluency in English both verbal and written is a must.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
