Job description for Junior Product Designer at BIASA Group
BIASA Group is a beautiful boutique and label inspired by Indonesian lifestyle and Italian design ethos, we were the first on the island to offer visitors and residents sophisticated resort-wear collections along with treasures from around the world: hand-cast homeware, artisan pieces, and exotic handmade furnishings.
Who?
We're looking for a passionate Junior Product Designer who will assist our designer in developing proto samples, sourcing, pricing, monitoring, and/or following up on lead time for proto samples and production time delivery.
You will be assigned to assist our designer to develop prototypes of home objects e.g. soft furnishings, ceramics, jewelry, etc, not limited to following up with vendors’ prices, tech pack, and all details, along with maintaining communication with the designer team.

What?
Develop products from concept to factory production while keeping within timelines.
Implement certain designing methodologies in the creative process such as research, comparative product research, designing of the model, prototyping, and testing.
Assisting with the creation of commercially viable Artwork/ Designs across collections.
Applies a solid working knowledge of fashion/decor trends and consumer needs to product designs.
Responsible for completion of tech pack along with all details and passing completed spec to Production teams
Work closely with the team and vendor to determine style, materials, and color to develop a successful product based on feedback, incorporating for finalization.
Track and organize development samples, ensuring they are delivered within required timelines and seamlessly passed off to key parties.
Mobiling is needed to source products where the product is manufactured

How?
At least have 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design specializing in Product Design/ Craft/ Fashion Design
Drawing and computer illustration skills; curate and create corporate Artwork across a range of formats using Adobe Creative Cloud and programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
Strong fashion sense with an ability to translate into product assortment; ability to communicate and articulate trends
High-level execution, organization, and design skills with a methodical approach to work and meticulous attention to detail the ability to work to deadlines
Advanced skills in English (listening, writing, speaking, and reading)
Communication skills to engage with designers and vendors, and to provide progress updates at every stage of the design and artwork process
