Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Engineer Apprentice - Infrastructure to design, implement, and maintain the core IT infrastructure systems that support our business operations. This role involves managing servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure systems including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and networking.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
• Administer and support Windows/Linux server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure infrastructure security by applying updates, patches, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to support deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
• Provide Tier 2 support for escalated issues and outages.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to infrastructure-related incidents.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems (SAN/NAS), and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, routing, switching).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

This opportunity is open only to current students from NTU, NUS, and SIT who are looking for internships in Jan 2026. We are able to accommodate the required 4–6 month credit-bearing period for self-sourced internships. A school-issued placement letter will be required to proceed.
