IoT Field Engineer
Location: Based in Singapore (Required to travel)

This role is critical in deploying, managing, and optimizing our proprietary IoT hardware and AI-driven maintenance solutions at challenging sites, including manufacturing, shipping, oil & gas, and more. You will ensure that our field deployments operate smoothly, enabling uninterrupted data collection and analysis.
As an IoT Engineer, you will be the face of our company at client locations, responsible for the installation of our products and providing on-site support. Your role requires a blend of technical prowess and customer service skills to ensure the successful setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our solutions, while fostering positive client relationships and technical reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Project Coordination
Plan and execute IoT hardware deployments tailored to client site requirements.
Perform on-site installation and configuration of our software and hardware solutions.
Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, Product, Sales) to ensure smooth installation, integration, and commissioning of devices.
Infrastructure Management
Maintain the stability and reliability of deployed IoT systems to ensure uninterrupted data flow.
Monitor device performance, diagnose, and resolve technical issues proactively.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide on-site and hands-on technical support to resolve client hardware-related issues quickly.
Train clients on product usage and maintenance best practices.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
Resource Optimization
Manage deployment resources efficiently to meet project timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery and setup of materials.
Develop and improve SOPs for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all deployments adhere to safety, quality, and industry standards.
Revisit sites for routine maintenance checks and client follow-ups.
Work with QA to validate device performance and system reliability.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company installation standards
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare deployment reports, including resource usage, timelines, and technical outcomes.
Document installation processes and client interactions in our CRM.
Maintain detailed technical documentation for future reference and process improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2–3 years of experience in IoT hardware deployment, field engineering, or related roles.
Proficient with at least one scripting or programming language
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Significant experience in on-site installation and technical support in an IoT and technology environment
Proficiency in IoT device setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with industrial sensors and communication protocols including but not limited to HTTP, MQTT, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NTP
Self-driven and able to work independently and manage on-site responsibilities effectively.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in client-facing situations.
Excited about working onsite and travelling locally and internationally for deployments.
Experience with edge devices, gateways, and cloud integration.
