Job description
Objective
Academia Education requires a Human Resource Manager to oversee all HR matters of the company.
Job Description
- Work with the Director on all HR-related matters, processes and issues
- Recruiting FT and PT staff for the company, including teachers, admin staff, temps and interns
- Resolving interpersonal conflicts, disagreements and problems
- Engage with schools to build talent pipeline of fresh interns
- Apply for and manage government grants relating to HR - Global Ready Talent Program
- Devise a comprehensive set of HR policies and communicating with staff and onboarding everyone on it
- Provide counselling, advisory on grievance matters
- Administrating HR-related matters, including leave management, payroll processing, salary review, annual performance review
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and guidelines relating to employment and people practices
- Drive HR upgrading projects, for example using apps, technology and software to automate HR works, and potentially working with government HR consultants on HR upgrading projects
Requirements
- Candidates preferably possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Some professional training, experience or qualification in HR
- Cannot be fresh graduate, at least some years of experience being HR Manager in SME, or the HR business partner in MNC or government. Not necessary to have been in education industry before.
- Willingness to work in an SME / less structured environment
- Good people skills and ability to engender trust between people
