As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible (together with the CEO) for winning new brands and growing our business with existing accounts across all services. You are experienced in ecommerce and know how brands can be successful on the key ecommerce platforms. You know the challenges that brands face in their ecommerce go to market, and you know how Intrepid can solve them. You are able to build a detailed understanding of a brand’s particular situation, and tailor our services and commercial proposal to their specific needs.
You stay up to date with the latest market developments, working closely with our different in-house teams, both locally and regionally, and maintain close relationships with the key ecommerce platforms and brands. As we continuously expand our services, you evaluate and explore which accounts can use additional services which grow our revenue and benefit their business.
● Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities
● Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, and platform contacts
● Work together with Intrepid leadership to retain and grow accounts
● Deliver expert recommendations on the best solutions for potential clients
● Create client presentations, structure commercial proposals and prepare contracts, collaborate on onboarding and Business Development plans for new clients
● Grow account NMV and revenue
● Develop annual Business Development plans
● Collaborate on onboarding, strategy and Annual JBP plans for new brands
● Collaborate with rest of country management on NMV goals, planning and forecasting
● Ensure account retention and Business Development
● Coach and develop team members
Who we look for – the ideal profile:
● Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in Ecommerce, ideally with a platform (Lazada / Shopee), with another enabler, or with a brand or distributor
● Commercial experience - ability to understand customer needs, craft proposals and win deals
● Strong interpersonal, relationship and communication, listening and negotiation skills
● Strong ecommerce knowledge and analytical skills
● Network with brands & ecommerce platforms in Vietnam
● Commercial performance-driven mindset, flexible & collaborative attitude, looking to make an impact and thriving in a fast-paced start-up environment
● Ability to develop a brand ecommerce strategy and translate this into annual & quarterly plans
● Good excel and power point skills
