Job description for Gym Club Assistant at Anytime Fitness

The Club Assistant is the first point of contact for our members. He/She is responsible for the organisation and administration of all aspects of the gym.
The primary role of the Club Assistant is to provide a quality experience to all members in the gym. This is done through 1) an initial facility tour, 2) a transparent sign-up process, and 3) occasional coaching for members. The Club Assistant needs to have a customer service mindset and an enthusiastic attitude to build relationships with our members. This position is also responsible for building and maintaining financial profiles for all our members. This position calls for 1) strong administration skills, 2) proficient social skills, and 3) a commitment to growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Sales and Portfolio Management - Maintain accurate financial profiles for members and promote the club’s financial growth. This position is directly responsible for the membership sales, finding and contacting prospects, following up with leads, following up with payment and financial growth of the membership sales at the club.
· Facility Management - Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the facility, and daily maintenance of equipment or facility where necessary.
· Service Standards - Provide excellent customer service, which includes regular engagement with members such as helping them to create and achieve goals.
· Customer Satisfaction - Assist in decision-making and fulfil requests regarding positive and negative feedback, cessation/suspension of membership requests and other club related inquiries.
· Marketing and Branding - Assist in marketing and branding of the club, which includes development of promotional materials and organisation of sales campaigns.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by the Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
ITE, Higher NITEC or Diploma
Experience:
One/two-year fitness or personal training experience preferred
Licence / Certification:
Certified Personal Trainer Certification (Not required but a plus) or Equivalent.
CPR/AED certification (Not required but a plus)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
· Ability to build relationship with members and with staff
· Excellent customer service and promotional skills; energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Be an enthusiastic learner and have a can-do attitude
· Be a detailed-oriented self-starter
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office software, MS Word, Excel, and other fitness related dashboards or apps
WORKING HOURS
(Subject to changes by the Management)
Monday – Friday: 1pm to 10pm (with 1-hour break)
Saturday: 9am to 1pm (No break)
REMUNERATION
$1,800 - $2,500, depending on experience and qualification
