GMAT/GRE Instructor (Quantitative and Verbal)
Key Responsibilities :
- Teach highly engaging GMAT and GRE lessons (one-on-one and/or groups).
- Identify individual student strengths and weaknesses to create customized, highly effective study plans.
- Analyze practice exam data and provide constructive, actionable feedback to ensure students are consistently improving.
- Keep students motivated, accountable, and confident throughout their test prep journey.
- Occasionally assist in refining and updating practice questions and study guides to align with the latest exam formats (e.g., GMAT Focus Edition).
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, session notes, and overall progress to ensure a seamless learning experience.
- Collaborate with the broader academic team to share best practices, teaching methodologies, and student success strategies.
Required Qualifications
GMAT/GRE Quantitative Instructor :
- Strong English language proficiency (C1 level or above).
- Ability to teach mathematics and data analysis sections effectively.
- Prior GRE/GMAT/SAT teaching experience.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Ability to explain complex mathematical and logical concepts with clarity, patience, and empathy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate our students' schedules.
- Highly comfortable leading engaging sessions via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet and using digital whiteboards.
GMAT/GRE Verbal Instructor :
- Exceptional English language proficiency (upper C1 level or native speaker preferred, given the nuances of high-level verbal reasoning).
- Ability to teach reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and advanced vocabulary strategies effectively.
- Prior GRE/GMAT/SAT teaching experience.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Linguistics, Humanities, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Ability to break down dense texts, complex logical arguments, and grammar rules with clarity, patience, and empathy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate our students' schedules.
- Highly comfortable leading engaging sessions via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet and using digital whiteboards.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 2+ years of prior teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience in standardized test prep.
- High-level mastery of both the Quantitative and Verbal/Data Insights sections.
- Graduate degree (Master's, MBA, or PhD) from a top 50 globally ranked university.
- Possess official, verifiable scores adequate to gain admission into Ivy League and Top 50 global graduate programs (typically representing the top 10% of global test-takers or higher).
- GMAT: An official score of 645+ on the GMAT Focus Edition (or 710+ on the Classic GMAT).
- GRE: An official total score of 324+ (with balanced section scores, ideally minimums of 162 in Verbal and 166 in Quantitative).
