Job description for Furniture Factory Supervisor at PT. High Quality Construction
Main Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production activities, manage tukang (carpenters/workers), ensure product quality, and make sure all orders are completed on time.
Jobdesk:
1. Production Supervision
Monitor daily furniture production (cutting, assembling, finishing).
Ensure all work follows design specs, measurements, and client requirements.
Set daily/weekly production targets and track progress.
2. Team Management (Tukang & Workers)
Supervise tukang kayu, finishing team, sanding team, etc.
Assign tasks based on skill level and project needs.
Train workers on proper techniques, safety, and efficiency.
Handle discipline, attendance, and performance issues.
3. Quality Control
Check materials (wood, foam, fabric, hardware) before use.
Inspect products during and after production.
Ensure finishing (cat, coating, polish) meets quality standards.
Reduce defects, rework, and material waste.
4. Material & Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with purchasing/store for raw materials.
Ensure materials are available before production starts.
Monitor usage to avoid overuse or loss.
5. Timeline & Delivery Management
Ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Coordinate with admin/sales for deadlines and priorities.
Report delays and provide solutions quickly.
6. Workshop Organization
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshop area.
Ensure tools and machines are properly used and maintained.
Implement efficient workflow in the production area.
7. Health & Safety
Ensure all workers follow safety procedures.
Monitor use of protective equipment (gloves, masks, etc.).
Prevent accidents and handle basic incident reporting.
8. Reporting
Provide daily/weekly reports to manager/owner.
Report production progress, issues, and manpower needs.
Suggest improvements for efficiency and cost saving.
