Freelance Interior Drafter / Design Assistant (Remote, Bali preferred, Part-Time)

Atelier Suu is a Singapore-based architecture and interior design studio. We are looking for a freelance Interior Draftsman / Design Assistant to join our team on an 18-month hotel interior design project in Southeast Asia, from early space planning through custom furniture and lighting design. (villas, reception, restaurant, spa).This is a sustainable retreat hotel project built around traditional craftsmanship and natural materials. Almost every element is custom-made, from furniture to lighting fixtures. You'll work at a calm, meticulous pace, with a strong focus on detail rather than speed.

• The mission:

Mid to end 2026:

Layout studies for villas, reception, restaurant, and spa

Physical cardboard models to build from time to time

Reference moodboards

Material, texture, and color research

Early to mid 2027:

Detailing: floor, wall, ceiling, and lighting plans

Custom doors and windows design

Mid to end 2027:

Custom furniture drawings (loose and built-in)

Custom lighting fixture drawings

Throughout the mission:

Document layouts in Revit, AutoCAD, or Rhino

Surface and volume calculations (Bill of Quantities in Excel)

The work is mainly 2D drafting and documentation. 3D visualization is handled separately.

• Your profile:

Based in Bali (strongly preferred). many hotel supplies will be sourced there, so knowledge of Bali suppliers is a plus,

and we value being able to meet in person in the Denpasar area to review drawings and material samples together.

Junior profiles welcome: draftsman with previous architecture firm experience, or junior architect/interior designer.

• Skills:

Mastering 2D CAD drawing: Revit preferred, AutoCAD or Rhino accepted

Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets

Nice to have: Revit, Autocad, Rhino, Grasshopper, Blender, Unreal Engine

• Work arrangement:

Part-time freelance contract, fully remote.

Occasional in-person coordination meetings in Denpasar may be arranged.

Workload varies month to month, from light to intensive, and occasionally little to none.

This suits someone already working part-time elsewhere

Independent contractor engagement (freelance), not an employment contract.

The engagement starts with a first paid assignment, after which both parties confirm whether to continue.

• Compensation:

Monthly invoicing based on the work actually delivered.

For each task, we agree together beforehand on an estimated number of hours, invoiced at an agreed hourly rate.

Payments are made by bank transfer, in your local currency or in USD.
