Job description for Finance Trainee at Omnicom Public Relations Group
Roles & Responsibilities
This position reports to the Finance Manager and will learn about the different functions within the finance department. The Finance trainee will also work closely together with other members of the finance team.
Role:
- Accounts Receivables: learn the entire end-to-end AR function including setting up new client and project codes, generation of bills based on quotations, contracts, and billing worksheets, reviewing AR aging reports, and sending chasers for overdue invoices, and applying receipts to invoices. He/She will also learn how to read billing worksheets and understand how the various elements of the different finance functions flow into billing worksheets.
- Accounts Payables: learn to create new vendors in the system, record vendor invoices based on Purchase Orders created, and process payment through the system.
- Intercompany: have the opportunity to liaise with counterparts from various offices on intercompany transactions and balances.
- Reporting: Trainee will assist to prepare various monthly and quarterly reports for submission to HQ.
- Finance support: Trainee will provide support to consultants on various matters including time entry and time records, documents to submit, information required, etc. He/She will also help to ensure departing staff complete all time entries and expense claims before departure.
- Ad-hoc projects: Trainee will be involved in any ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives.

Duration of Traineeship offered:
- 12 months
Eligibility Criteria for SGUnitedTraineeships:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020.
