Job description for Enterprise Architect (Banking Domain) at Ask HR Pte Ltd
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap spanning core banking, digital asset services,payment infrastructure, and customer channels.
- Establish architecture governance frameworks, standards, and review processes across all engineering squads in Dubai
- Lead technology due diligence for new product verticals and emerging digital asset capabilities.
- Design scalable, secure microservices architectures on Azure, covering API management, event driven patterns, container orchestration, and observability.
- Partner with the COO, Product, and Compliance teams to ensure architectural decisions satisfy applicable UAE regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions for infrastructure components, vendor platforms, and third-party integrations.
- Mentor engineering leads and act as the escalation point for complex technical design challenges.
- Coordinate cross-site delivery with the development centre, ensuring architectural alignment and code-quality standards.
Requirements
- 15+ years in technology roles with demonstrable experience across software development, application support, and infrastructure/network engineering.
- Proven track record as an Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect, or VP/Director of Engineering in a bank, digital bank, or fintech.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (AKS, API Management, Event Hubs, Azure DevOps, Landing Zones).
- Strong working knowledge of tier-1 core banking systems.
- Hands-on experience with microservices, domain-driven design, event sourcing, and API-first architecture.
- Familiarity with digital asset infrastructure: custody solutions, blockchain nodes, smart contracts, and tokenisation protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to C-suite stakeholders.
- Mandarin Chinese (spoken) is highly desirable for day-to-day coordination with the engineering team.
