About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern Drafter to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in the professional design and build process, focusing on Architecture, Interior Design, and Custom Furniture. You will assist our senior team in producing technical documentation and ensuring our outputs meet the high-quality standards DPM is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting: Assist in the production of architectural, interior, and custom furniture technical drawings.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed shop drawings for construction and fabrication.
- Quality Control (QC): Review designs and drawings for accuracy, consistency, and buildability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our designers and project managers to ensure design intent is captured accurately in technical documents.
- Site/Workshop Visits (Optional/Periodic): Opportunities to observe on-site implementation or furniture fabrication processes to understand the connection between drawings and reality.
Qualifications
Experience: Open to individuals with previous internship/work experience or fresh graduates looking to start their professional career.
Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Revit, Sketchup, and AutoCAD.
Skillset:
- Solid understanding of technical drawing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
- Ability to translate design concepts into clear, actionable technical drawings.
