Job description
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple data sources into Data Warehouse or Big Data platforms.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts to support high-performance data processing and reporting.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing ETL workflows to ensure data accuracy, consistency, reliability, and system performance.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements, support data integration needs, and deliver efficient data solutions.
- Perform data validation, root cause analysis, and issue resolution related to ETL jobs, database performance, and data quality issues.
- Support deployment, documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data integration processes and ETL standards.
- Ensure ETL processes follow best practices for scalability, security, scheduling, logging, and error handling.
- Participate in project planning, technical discussions, and system enhancement initiatives related to Big Data and enterprise data management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an ETL Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools, especially Talend. Experience with other ETL tools is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of SQL programming, query optimization, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
- Familiar with database and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.
- Experience handling large-scale data processing, data migration, and data integration projects.
- Good understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and data governance principles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with tight project timelines.
- Good communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams in enterprise environments.
