As Creative Services Manager you make the creative department function on a daily basis. You’re a communication channel between departments, a translator, a time manager and a caretaker of costs, workflow and troubleshooting. Also a listening ear and a supporting voice.
· Attending weekly 'Operations' meeting to assess the week ahead and to go through live projects and identify any issues.
· Resourcing creative teams for all projects in conjunction with Creative Directors and project leaders.
· Traffic-ing workflow through the department.
· Having an awareness of overall agency work-flow and anticipating problems and creative requirements accordingly.
· Advising project leaders on time allocations.
· Growing Freelance Database
· Monitoring actual time against bookings.
· Setting up freelance staff on new projects.
· Ensuring freelance contracts are in place.
· Finding, interviewing, recording potential new freelancers/suppliers and negotiating rates.
· Connecting with recruitment agencies.
· Helping find new interns.
· Setting up new team members (trainees/new staff/new freelancers)
· Developing better work practices where applicable and keeping abreast of new systems, technologies.
· Working with and helping to evolve, existing management systems.
· Overview of purchase order process
· Managing all local marketing collateral.
· Supporting US Brand development team during brand design periods.
· Keeping a finger on the pulse of the team and supporting manager with 'people' issues.
Supporting Chief Creative Officer and CEO
· Regular meetings to translate and ensure quality, workflow, morale etc. are in good order.
· Advice during annual review process.
· Keeping CCO informed of any issues via regular catch up sessions.
